It wouldn’t have hurt so much if the pool had water in it. Being winter it would have been cold if it had water but luckily I wasn’t badly hurt.

I’m a bit embarrassed to post this due to my absence but I’ve been very busy. We all have our own stories in this time of trouble and everything seams to change daily. We are doing well I guess, we were in a forced lock down quite early but our construction site is just one block away so I was able to continue and keep a bunch of tradies employed. I was stood down from my day job but transitioned the very next day to become site manager on our site and have worked on it every day since.

This is shaping up to be the longest pool build in history but our pool builder said they have had worse. I posted pics of the pool shell previously, poor pool shell in an empty back yard but now we footings, block walls and the concrete slabs. I’m officially ‘out of ground’. But cant retire the shovel, wheel barrow and jack hammer just yet.

I bet that was quite shock when you hit..............."What just happened????? OH POOP I hope I did not break anything!" Glad it is mostly okay.

Yeah it has been a long build but life happens then the world throws in some extra mess  Nice to hear you have been able to help others out by keeping them working! Make a difference in their lives for sure!

Thanks KingKats, I just have to, I saw a bob cat the other day and we don’t have them in Australia. See bellow.

I was measuring up for form work. A dumb mistake. I was close to the edge and then suddenly one foot slipped. One foot on. One foot down with one arm closely following along the rough poured concrete and I’m stuck half on and half off the wall. I hear the concreter say “are you all right”. I’m not sure but of cause say, yeh “I’m all right” and carefully pry myself off the top, lower myself to the bottom and survey the damage. Ouch. But I slogged on all day and then slept on the couch because I didn’t want to bleed all over the sheets.

This building game is a young man’s sport, if anyone ever asks me to be a bickies labourer again the answer is a definite “no”.

The rebar was capped and on the other side, I’ve been very careful working around all the rebar. I was at the skimmer box which is the deepest point but if I was two foot along I could have broken off a return line. The form work I was working on was to allow for tile thickness between our two tile variations but it was discovered just after the form was installed that we could only use one variant and the form had to be removed prior to the pour. :hammer:
