How uneven is too uneven?

I just got an Intex soft sided 18 foot pool from a friend. I cleared a spot, levelled it to within a half inch according to my string level, and then started filling the pool. Unfortunately, the water level says the low side is 3" below the high side. Arg!

Is that too much of a slant? Like, will it pass inspection, and will it spontaneously explode or fall over or otherwise fail?

Thanks!

2 inches is borderline. Keep an eye on the pool walls and supports for signs anything is bending.

Yeah, there's no supports..it's one of those soft sided ones with the inflatable ring. Basically a giant bag of water on the ground :)

I honestly don't know how it was that far off. I used both a string level and a 4' level attached to a 12' board. Both said it was really close .I guess I need a laser level.
