Hi, the pool company had the pump set up for me at 3400 because the pool equipment is about 70 to 80 feet away from the pool. I was playing around today trying to modify it so that I can have it run full speed during the day and then low speed overnight. I don’t know if I did it right does anybody have any experience with this and be able to help me set it up? Thank you so much for any input or help. right now I’m nervous. I just messed it all up by even trying to play with it.

There is no reason to run your pump that fast. You do not need high pump speed due to pipe length.

You are missing your Speed Labels.

What was "regular speed"?

You do not need the skimmers running the entire day.

I run my pool at 1400 RPM 24/7 and my pool cleaner runs with the skimmers at 2400 RPM for 2 hours from 7AM to 9AM. That gets the surface debris into the skimmers for the day and is sufficient.

If you wanted you could run another skimmer cycle in the afternoon.
 
Hi. Lots of threads here on this topic. I think I've read them all. The consensus goes like this:
  1. Experiment to find the minimum RPM that meets the flow requirements of your SWG and other devices that have one (like heater, though you can configure that to bump up rpm just when it's on). Add a ~10% safety margin, and that's your baseline. If you have a big (3hp) pump, this can be quite low. Mine is 1100 and sometimes 1200 when the filter is almost ready for cleaning. I've seen 900 to 1600. A smaller pump will be at the high end. At these speeds the pump will be super quiet, efficient (low watts; smooth flow in plumbing), and easy on its own mechanics.
  2. Next choose a higher RPM where the skimmers are effective at clearing the surface and any other cleaning system can run. Also hours needed to clean. For me that's 2,500 and 3 hours (1.5 morning and evening), when the cleaner also runs. This will vary with the number of skimmers, whether there are also main drains, etc. Also with time: season (pollen time around here is crazy), events like storms, etc. It's not critical. Start high and trim until surface stuff stays around too long, then bump back up. Take your time. A week or three is fine. There will be some tradeoff between RPM and time running. Generally it's better to go lower for longer. If you are running 24 hours at low speed, you don't need the higher speed for water filtration, just cleaning. My 3 hours may be on the long side; the pool is surrounded by trees. You can always bump manually after storms.
    nb: I've found it fun and useful to throw a little kid's floaty toy in the low end farthest from the skimmers and see how long it takes to get skimmed.
A final note is that afaik the Jandy system just doesn't support 24x7 schedules. You need to pick a 5-minute down time each day to get as close as possible.

There are many threads on how to set up the Jandy software. I'll let you suss those out. And @ajw22 is a pro. He'll set you straight if something goes sideways. The basic idea is to set up the low speed as the normal "pool" setting for all 24 hours (minus 5 minutes), then overlay periods of higher pump speed, cleaners, etc. for whatever period(s) you want. The system will choose the higher speed over normal.

Think of it as a puzzle and learning exercise and have fun with it. It's hard to mess up badly enough to cause a problem. (Chemical balance is less forgiving.) Along the way you'll get into the details of your control system. Getting everything dialed in can be very satisfying and saves power.
