How to read end of FC test

I've always been confused as to when the FC test is considered complete. Many times the pink will be completely gone, then I'll add an extra drop and realize that the water was a bit cloudy because it goes from slightly cloudy to crystal clear. Is crystal clear or no pink left but slightly cloudy considered complete?

And while I'm on this topic, when measuring TA there always seems to be a moment where I add a drop and the color goes from Green to clear. I then add an extra drop to get the Red color which I assume is the end of the test, correct? Thanks!!!!

For the FC, once it goes from pink to no color you are done. If it remains a bit cloudy that's okay. It's the color change you are looking for. FAS-DPD Chlorine Test - Trouble Free Pool

For the TA, the green can briefly flash to another color. Just keep going. You want that bright Barbie pink at the end. Total Alkalinity - Trouble Free Pool
