How to fix pool steps

Need help figuring out a solution to DIY fix these steps. This is an i ground vinyl liner pool with corner steps. Steps feel very solid overall. This is the corner of the step next to the short side edge on the shallow end. I have an auto pool cover and the aluminum edge (you can see it in the pic) was slipped down and rubbed on this corner causing the damage. I had a company service the cover and they sorta fixed the aluminum edge.

Pretty sure the inside is fiberglass. The outside is some type of poly. I considered just using epoxy but it wouldn’t look great.

Gelcoat Repair Paste Kit - Standard Whites

This guy, YouTube Video, uses the above linked product to make some repairs to his pool steps. Looks like a good option, though I don't have any personal experience in making fiberglass repairs. Also, perhaps one of the repair kits they make for fiberglass boats.

Sorry, I can't give you first hand experience, but perhaps by bumping your thread somebody else that can offer more advice will see it.
