How Soon to Swim After Dry Acid?

So the TA number is totally unreliable from within ColorQ? Or are you saying it was user error?
You said you were doing a 'SLAM', though that is not possible with a ColorQ as it can only measure FC to 10 ppm. Once you breach that level of FC, all the tests are immediately false. You have exceeded the limits of the equipment to operate.

Also, just today, you tested twice. Your TA increased by 20 ppm in 5 hours, with no chemical addition. How did that happen? Test error.

+1. I get it Wolf. I do. You have what you have and you’d like to use it. But if it’s going to be that far off in 2 weeks for a # that stayed constant…….. do you really want to use that toy to dose from ?
Yeah, I kinda wish I’d found TFP sooner…. The digital readout had me sold at the time…. Scratching my head how this can be marketed and rack up sales if it can be so easily failed in a user test. (That’s my IT life talking…)

It actually does register numbers and for me went over 12 at least…, however it places a “+” once you go over 10 which I assume is indicative they are less sure of their answer. Nonetheless I used what I had available and was happy with the result after many weeks of frustration.
I didn’t do 2 tests in 1 day btw, prior test was around 6 pm last night, then one midday today.
I will have to take a look at the Taylor….

Appreciate all your thoughts & input.

Nothing had to actually work to be sold. There are entire industries built around scam products that aren’t even needed. Ever been to an auto store ? They got miracle liquids for every part of the car. Not a one of them performs any miracles, yet there is 12 brands of each fix.

It is what it is, but I wouldn’t exclusively use something that had already proven to be so off. Buyers remorse will cost you hundreds more in each future SLAM. Now, if you have a better test source, you can use it to see how the colorQ matches up and responds. You can still use the colorQ but do so knowing which #s to believe and which to do yourself.
