CYA can be tested monthly to every 2 months, if you haven't exchanged water over this time, or added pucks or more CYA.... and you don't have any algae outbreaks.
If all is good, it is the least often performed test.
Less. My biggest changes to CYA happen over the winter and I have to raise my level at least 10ppm in the spring so I will check it often to reach my target. Once a month is more than enough most of the season.
