I have had my test kit about a month now and it seems my R-0013 for CYA is about half empty. Am I testing that to often (CYA)? Also is it necessary for me to test for CH with a vinyl liner? Thanks in advance for any replies.

ph twice per week
ch, ta and cya once per month
once you have a feel for your pool you can reduce your testing fc and ph as required, always test fc and ph after a heavy use
excessive calcium can cause scaling in a vinyl liner and i have heard rumors that vinyl needs a small amount but cannot confirm that

This is my testing chart. You can see pH and FC fluctuate fairly quickly. CYA, TA, CH and SALT don’t change nearly so much. My salt and CH changes are mainly due to adding extra.
My opinion is FC and pH a few times a week and the rest once a month or so.

Iam the same. Fc and ph 2 times a week or after heavy use. The rest maybe twice a month depending on weather and adding water. Test your fill water too, so u will know what ur adding
