How much fade expected with new vinyl liner?

Hi all,

We had our liner replaced in May of 2021. We're in Central North Carolina, and our pool is in direct sun most of the day. The liner is a 28mm looploc. I keep the pool balanced using a Taylor test kit and liquid chlorine. We close the pool in October and open it up in May.

I'm noticing some fade at the water level now, only a year later. I tried wiping it off with my finger but it seems to be the actual liner. I've attached pictures. Is this expected within 1 year of a liner?

It depends on the quality of the liner and the dyes used for the liner printing.

Some colors fade more then others.

Who was the manufacture of the liner?

Blue tends to fade quickly, but as noted depends on mfg.

It's a LoopLoc 28mm liner.

Yes, fade is at the former water line - we've had a lot of rain so the water level was higher than usual for a few weeks.
