HOw Long Can Filter Last

With monthly cleaning and all, realiistically, how long can a filter last. im thinking i can get 18 months out of it?
I have a Hayward C200 S Filter.

Monthly cleaning? With a proper sized filter, using TFP methods, once or twice a year can be all you need. If you use hairnets in skimmers to keep most debris from reaching the filter and maintain proper TFP water chemistry to prevent ever having any algae, you have to clean filters much less, and they will last much longer.

Short answer: With proper care filter cartridges can last for several years.

Second that opinion, my cartridge filter I clean twice a year and use the time change as the reminder.

If the pressure is above normal from a large dust storm obviously I’ll make an exception.

I’d budge 8-10 years on a set of properly maintained cartridges.

I’d say 3-5 years is more typical.

Wow, OK, I mean the pool looks great and all, but i do have numerous little debris items from trees that get inside of it and hard to clean it out.
