Hi everyone! Have a dilemma with this fitting. How do I get it off? I’ve tried channel locks but they just slip off because, of course it’s wet… is there a tool for this? It’s too tight for me to just grasp it and manually remove.

I think it’s a winterization plug in my auto filling water line. It’s where the fluid master float valve was last season before the now ex-pool company closed up the pool.

All help appreciated. Thank you! This forum is great.

You need the right size wrench to grip the plug. It may take the right size open end wrench or try a different size channel locks where the jaws can be set parallel to the flats.
