is there a way to change the default for say chlorine additions to be tablespoons or grams etc.? it seems to default to ounces

First and foremost, WELCOME TO TFP!!!
In the menu section (the gear in the upper right corner) you’ll see the option to enter your pool size. By default it’s set to gallons which sets all units of measurements in the App. If you alter that to liters it will update things in the App to show unit’s of measurements as you wish.
