I am a new pool owner and I believe I’m losing 0.75-1.00 inches per week in my pool. Is that normal or might I have a leak somewhere?
Thanks for your reply! I was very concerned that it was too high and I may be facing a leak. I appreciate your inputThat's the average in my area, right at an inch a week. When we have a cold North wind in Winter, it can be an inch a day.
Have I potentially done my math incorrectly on volume? I have 3.5 feet in the shallow end and 8 in the deep end. I believe it’s in my signature, but 18x36.I have very small pool -- you have ocean!
Thanks for your help. Would you mind weighing back in on my previous question regarding algae prevent before time away from home? You have 640 SF of surface area. About 400 gallons an inch. Give or take.
Thank you.Seems like that thread has good discussion. You need to run the SWCG for longer because it is undersized.
A week!? I wish. I lose about 60 gallons a day, or about a 1/2 inch per day. In the desert. 120F. 0 humidity. No clouds.
But it’s a dry heat… I hate hearing that. Feels like a dang convection oven. Regardless, dry heat. Sucks that water right up. Sounds like you two need to move.1/2 inch… 60 gallons? My 1/4 inch… 150 gallons trumps that every day.
