Hi, I'm new to the site and than you for any help you can provide!

I have 30k, in ground, salt water, liner pool. My CYA is 116.

I need to drain my pool based on the tfp calculator by a significant amount. I have started to drain, but the way my house is set up the water shoots out a tube next to my pool equipment. It runs until it gets below skimmer and then the pumps shut down. Unfortunately the water immediately rolls back toward the the house and foundation...it doesn't normally do this when it rains, but the amount of water from the pool overwhelms the French drain

I was curious if there's some kind of adaptor I can use to connect a hose and diver the water further away.

Thank u in advance!!!

Before you do anything, where did you obtain the reading of 116 for your CYA? That sounds suspiciously like a pool store result. Our recommended test kits only provide CYA readings to the nearest tens value.

Pool stores are notorious for providing inaccurate readings, and CYA is the one they are the worst at. I would hesitate to do anything based upon a pool store test, especially for CYA.

If you want to follow the tfp method, you need to obtain your own test kit and perform your own testing. There are two test kits available that provide all the tests that we require. The TF-100 is the best value of the two.
