As of last night honey bees have found our pool... Theres a dozen or so back out there today. I am not aware of any neighbors with nearby hives so likely wild bees. I would hate to kill them. There is plenty of water around. Any thoughts on discouraging them?

Thanks, I will look through them. We have a run off pond not far away that should, in theory, be far more attractive to them but noooooo... Might try throwing a salt block out next to that to see if that does the trick.
 
Anecdotal evidence (so basically old-wive’s tales) suggests that SKILL-IT works on wasps and bees to deter them from pool water but it does wind up killing them. It’s a low quality linear quat algaecide so it’s relatively harmless towards pool water (it can possibly cause foaminess if too much is added). So if you wanted to try that, no harm no foul.
