higher FC and CC

We’ve have had lots of cloud cover and rain the last couple of days.

With that, the Stenner has continued to do its job and deliver the dosing it’s programmed to do, and because the dosing was based on FC losses typical of high UV summer days, the FC has drifted up. Its on the nine-ish range now. But, CC is also up. Nothing alarming, but it’s been .4 and then .6 today.

So the question is, should I expect elevated CC levels with rain and higher FC?

CC is the by product of ammonia based compounds being oxidized by chlorine. Birds, etc can cause what you are seeing.

You should consider doing more diagnostics if you test above 0.5 ppm CC using a 10 ml sample. No reason to test FC with a 25 ml sample.
