I have a Ray pac model C-R406A-EN-C ASME AND it fires up but a min after it says high limit 2 failure .. it’s 4 years old and has never worked as far as I know . We had a pool company come in and replace all the sensors but still having same prob...... need help !!!

Does it bang pop or groan just before it shuts down? Also, confirm that it is not plumbed backwards.
About 4 years ago RayPak had an issue with the high-limit sensors on the rear manifold reacting to heat inside the cabinet on some heaters. Replacing the sensors did nothing to resolve the issue. Their solution was to ask the installer to put some insulating fiberglass over the sensors. It seemed to work, but I stopped using RayPak heaters.
