I have a vinyl pool, which I understand has limited to no need for calcium. Previous owner left me several giant buckets of "calcium lift" (I have not looked closer at the ingredients), and when I tested for CH I got a very high reading. I need to repeat the test knowing that I have copper in the pool, but there is obviously evidence that he was trying to increase CH. Why would this be?
