Hi, New to this forum with IC40 flashing

I have a 20-year-old inground pool (38x18)that has been running a saltwater system since the beginning. I have been maintaining the system myself for the past 17 years and this is my second Pentair IC40 Intel Chlorinator. I replaced the IC40 Intel Chlorinator this spring, but not the control box. The unit began working fine, but suddenly the lights at the bottom of the unit began flashing. This area is what controls the level of chlorine produced by the unit and I have tried almost everything suggested to reset and stop the lights from flashing. I am thinking I need to replace the control box, does anyone on this forum have any experience with this system? Thanks

O-guy,

Keep in mind that on new IntelliChlor cells, if you select less than 10% output, the sanitizer lights will flash..

Make sure that is not the issue.

It is very unlikely that the power center would make just the sanitizer lights flash.

Thanks,

Jim R.

O-guy,

The power center only provides about 35 to 40 Volts DC to the cell.. It has no ability to make just the sanitize lights flash.

Do all the sanitizer light flash or just a some of them?

What happens if you set the output to zero?

You have an unusual issue and one that I have not see before... I would think it is a bad cell, but don't know that for a fact..

Do you still have your old cell??

Thanks,

Jim R.

Just to be clear, if it's producing below 10%, you need to press the more button several times.

2%... 4%...6%.....8%....10% (lights go solid)
20%.... 40%.....60%...80%.... 100%
