Hi all. Housesitter here. Interlock problem.

Wow, really? Do you mean me trying to get the cleaner to work (through the interface panel touchscreen) or me trying to clean skimmer baskets? I knew it was something way different than what I knew, but I didn't think it was dangerous. I'll keep that in mind. The owner just told me that the pool is monitored and if an alarm goes off the pool service will come to fix it. Yay.
I just meant dealing with it’s multiple problems- it may involve more than just pressing some buttons. There could be something mechanically wrong that made the error occur. Especially since it was just opened for the season. I don’t think it’s dangerous to try to unlock the interface but that’s about as far as I would take it. You have a few things happening there. Pool equipment is expensive & can be complicated. The wrong mode enabled can drain a spa for instance. No need to borrow trouble. Sorry u have to deal with this but hopefully the service will remedy the issues.

Good advice. Thanks for explaining it. (Now that you mention it, I recall that it was in service mode when I got here, and the pool person came out and changed it. I didn't know what that meant.) I won't change mode or much else.
