Entirely up to you - but PoolMath app is best utilized when you record all your tests in it. That way you get a history of your tests and chemical additions, maintenance, etc.

Google "swimming pool volume calculator". You really need to know our capacity. I used a calculator before finding the documents for the pool from the previous owner. The calculation was within a few hundred gallons. 25k-35k is way too much play.

I am using the suggested test kit. I had stopped actively SLAMming because it looked better.

Remember that your SLAM is not over until:

My pool is currently less green and cloudy but I am still doing a SLAM because it is not clear. This will not be a quick process but if you stick with it, properly test and add chlorine (no other magic chemicals) you'll get there. Don't get discouraged!

Check my thread to see the progress I've had since May 19th. I have only been doing a proper SLAM for a couple weeks but I had been blindly doing a SLAM before then. Your results will be better as you stick to the process.

Also keep brushing and vacuum if possible! Get any crud off the bottom. Skim leaves and other debris. Get yourself a 100 pack of hairnets off of Amazon for your skimmer basket if you have lots of small bugs in the pool all the time, this is cheaper than a skimmer sock.
