Hello - my pop-ups don’t clean the bottom well enough for me. I want to get some sort of vacuum, robot. I have been told I can’t use a robot because of the pop ups, OR only use a robot with 2 wheels. Does anyone have experience with this dilemma? I would appreciate your advice. I also need about 40 feet of hose, the connection would have to be from my skimmer.

thank you, I’m looking forward to your comments.

I have a friend that uses a Dolphin Robot once a week and he has the pop-ups. Pretty sure he doesn't run them at the same time. The robot gets the areas the pop-ups can't and also collects the gravel/dirt that tends to fall on the bottom and not get pushed around by the pop-ups.

Unless your pop-up heads are about 3/4" high when off, I can't see a problem.. As Ryan says... you can't run them at the same time.. That said, once you run the robot once, you can just shut your in-Floor system off and never use it again...

Thanks,

We did the same...bought a robot to use in addition to the in floor system. Now I have the in floor running just twice a week...mostly to blow off the tanning ledge and steps that the robot can't get to. Take out the robot when the in floor is running. Not sure about the comment about using it from the skimmer...robots run from an electrical outlet.
