I've only taken care of this pool for a year and never needed to change the return jet direction of two of my return jets. I tried to use my hand to unscrew the middle part but it's sitting very tight and I'm unable to move anything. In fact for one of the two jets as I was trying to unscrew it broke off one of the two little "arms".
Do I need any specific tools for this? Are there any tricks?
FYI: The reason why I want to play with this is that the jets point slightly upwards and the stream is breaking the water surface (no bubbles at the surface though). I'm struggling with my PH rising quickly and I figured it might help to point them more downward --- not entirely sure it's worth the effort to go through this but figured I might want to give that a shot to experiment with. Opinions on that would be also be helpful.
