My IC60 went out quite some time ago and I haven't been able to get a replacement.

I have to admit I haven't tried consistently since I have been working from home more and just maintained it with liquid chlorine and MA. I figured I could just wait out the supply shortage.

But now I'm going to be out of town for 2 weeks and I still can't get a replacement. I have checked multiple local suppliers as well as Polytec as has been suggested in posts.

I have never used tablets and I need advice on how to prep before I leave. Can raise the chlorine before I go, cover it, and throw in a tablet? Would that work or would I need more than one? Currently the PH is 7.2, CYA roughly 60 (need to recheck).

You can increase the FC to SLAM level. If you have a cover that might buy you a few days. With a CYA of 60, then you can place a couple tabs in a floater. Or you could have a friend or trusted neighbor swing by every 2-3 days and add x-amount of chlorine and make sure the system is running like normal.

Biggest thing is don’t worry about it when your gone, hopefully a fun trip .
Do what Pat suggested and bring it to SLAM but the worse case is you have green water when you get back and have to deal with that.
Before my SWG And finding this group I would add a few gallons of liquid chlorine and it would last a couple weeks

A tablet, no? In the skimmer, no. Throw in a tablet? Not unless you want to damage the pool surface. A large floating tab feeder FULL might get you through two weeks without too many issues. If the weather cooperates, it would probably be fine.
