Hi everyone, I have a question about how to treat the algae that is pictured here:
Here are the details of my pool:
~18k gallons
Plaster
Constant leaves and other debris from overhanging trees falling into pool
Grubs like to drown themselves in the pool
I SLAMmed the pool last week while simultaneously increasing CYA from 10 -> 30. Last time I increased CYA with dry stabilizer was this past Saturday.
Since Saturday, I've kept FC in between the top of the recommended range (2.0 - 6.0) and the SLAM level (12) continuously.
I've maintained pH in the recommended range (7.2-7.8)
What I've noticed about this algae is that it doesn't look that bad at night after I've scrubbed the pool vigorously with a normal plastic brush, but it worsens overnight and during the day. To try and combat this I've scrubbed every single night.
Any tips on how I can get rid of this extremely stubborn algae? Do I even need to bother? Any help is much appreciated!
