You guys have been so extremely helpful throughout the build process and I truly appreciate it all. I’m just done my 28 day plaster curing process on a 15,000 gallon gunite pool. My current numbers are below. I haven’t switched it over to salt yet, I have the bags of salt ready to go but wanted to get through a pool party before taking that step. I’ve been using tablets in the meantime but my CYA is still so low it’s not measuring with the tp-100 test. I’m guessing that needs to be taken care of before the switchover since salt pools require a higher number. As it is now I have had zero problems with it so low and effecting my chlorine levels. Even after a pool party with 15 people I did not have to add any shock or slam.
PH: 7.5
TA: 60
Free chlorine: 8
Combined chlorine: 0
CYA: not registering but I’ve used about one bucket of tablets so there’s some in there.
Calcium hardness: 650
what should my next step be? Do I adjust the TA up to 80 then lower PH some prior to adding Stabilizer to get CYA up then add the salt? If so what numbers do I follow start going off of salt pool numbers?
thanks,
Liz
