The tech opened the pool 2 weeks ago. There are 5 chlorine tabs in chlorinator. The pool pH 7.8. Does this mean that I need more chlorine?

How are you testing your pool water chemistry?

Run a full set of pool water chemistry tests.

Are you planning to stop the pool service? They will not follow nor listen to you on TFPC methods.

We had him set us up for the season. Now we want to do it ourselves. Bought the Taylor k2006 kit and have chemicals. Looks to be difficult to do on our own.

The Taylor free chlorine test doesn't turn to pink. I don't understand this. We had the pool prepped by the pool company 6 days ago. How can there be no chlorine. We have 5 tabs in the chlorinator.
