Help: Skimmer Basket Support Ring Comes off with Deck Lid

HI,
I need to re-secure my skimmer ring to my pool deck as it comes out with each time I remove the lid for the basket. Even more troublesome is that my dogs trip over it and risk breaking a leg Is there a recommended product and means of securing the ring back to the pool deck? Big thanks!

Not sure if that has to be mortared back in or if you can use any variety of sealants. Maybe @jimmythegreek can help us confirm?

You need to chip out all the old mortar amd get that cleaned up. Put a large garbage bag In skimmer to collect debris. Use 3 taper head short stainless sheet metal screw in a triangle patter thru inside out the backside. When you mortar the lid in with a wet slurry amd then point it tight the screws will hold it down for good
