I noticed some of this on the floor of my above ground pool i thought it was dirt but when i wiped it up it had a slimy texture, it was more green in color so i assumed it was regular algae i scrubbed, shocked and did use algaecide (on Monday) yesterday the pool looked good aside from a thin greenish film on top of the water, i skimmed it , let the water circulated well, let the pump run all night and today everything looks great but i saw a few small patches of this stuff again!! Is this actually mustard algae??
Oh we have a salt water pool and a sand filter, sand was replaced this season.

Welcome to the forum!
For algae, TFP uses something called the SLAM Process. Algaecide does not eradicate algae. Chlorine does.
Do you have your own test kit? Can you post test results from your own test kit?
I suggest you read ABC's of Pool Water Chemistry.

Sorry -- but we do not even look at test strip data.

Once you get your proper test kit, post up the results you get.
