HELP!!! Indoor pool madness

You have found the right place and are in good hands.

I don't have any experience with indoor pools, follow the advice that was given.

have you seen this thread?
That is crazy I definitely don’t believe half of what I hear from store front sales people.

I was just repeating what was said to me. I came here for advice.
Sorry not trying to come off as talking down to you or anything, the stuff that comes out of people’s mouths (in this case the pool store rep) is laughable to me though. I’d imagine most of these folks haven’t even maintained a pool themselves before and use phrases like this to convey false authority.

As others have mentioned you are in the right place. All you need is appropriate testing and we can help guide you.

I look forward to seeing you take this on successfully. Every indoor pool I’ve seen is disgusting by the standards here so yours is going to be extremely rewarding for you to get perfectly balanced and crystal clear. The methods may seem a bit overwhelming at first but I can promise once you get through the initial challenges of fixing the issues you inherited it will truly be a Trouble Free Pool and you’ll have nobody else to thank but yourself and the little bit of guidance this community has shared from all being in your position at some point!

You’ll have it sorted out in no time. Everything starts with accurate testing, from there we can figure out what additions are needed and it helps significantly with equipment troubleshooting.

I look at it like you found a forum full of chef’s who are about to teach you how to make high quality food than costs less and is easier than the crappy fast food you have been eating. But you need some good pots and pans, or in this case a test kit (TFPro Salt or Taylor K2006C+SALT) in order to do that.

Order that test kit!! It is the Rosetta Stone for understanding what your pool is trying to tell you! At this point you’re getting lots of questions and not a massive amount of guidance because the measurements may not be accurate. Get your kit, post up results, the the guidance you will receive here will amaze you. :)

I noticed that in your first four test readings you didn't have a CYA number. Did you add some to the pool? Also the phosphate level of 1000 is to high. Last, even though your pool is in door does it get a lot of sunlight?

No I didn’t add any I had just never tested to it until I started reading in this forum. We have a lot of windows and 4 skylights in the pool house but I draw the shades when it’s not being used and it also has a powered cover. So it stays covered anytime it’s not being used

Is this open air? I mean this cover, is it over the pool house and when open it provides ventilation for the room? I am probably not asking this question properly. If not too much trouble, describe the pool house.
