I thought all that bleach made the pH go up. Mine is very low. Just curious if that could be helping keep it cloudy.

Chalet is done (thank god) it's been many months of painting and stuff and it's on the market. One less thing to do!!!

I came home and all i could think about today was getting in that pool. So, first thing i did was blow up my floats and i got in that sucker. Floated around for about an hour then i got off my float and rannnnnn around the bottom. Now, let me tell ya, that works better than vacuuming. I got leaves and just caught them in my net. The floor felt perfect. No ew, no ick, no slime. Just the vinyl. Why that pool hasn't cleared is such a mystery. The water feels so clean and so do the sides and the bottom.

Dang it water!!!!!

No testing stuff in the mail either. Sometimes UPS runs really late here, so there is still a little hope....

Tonight if your FC is below 10 test the ph before you shock. It's not making your pool cloudy, but we can fix it anyways. :)

Me and my mom working on the chalet today. Playing in flowers. Just to prove i wasn't playing hookie with the pool. LOL. I really did work.

Use the k1000 to test the ph and chlorine. Then adjust the ph if it's way low. After that shock as normal. Use your last fas/dpd test to make sure you hit shock level.

Well i guess all that chlorine did raise my pH. It showed 7.2. It's been showing 6.8. So i didn't have to add any BS.

I backwashed, added 311 oz Bleach and added DE.

What is BS? Baking soda? That is used to raise TA. Borax is used to raise pH. Just doublechecking :wink:

Try to test first thing again in the morning before sunrise. Let's see if the FC loss has went down again after your scrubbing. You were darn close last time, let's try and finish this step. The CC level has been around .5-1 all week leading me wonder about it hiding in the filter. A pass on the OCLT will allow you to dump the sand and move on.

OMG soooooo sounds like a plan. I feel like i'm in the twilight zone.

Ok...i'll set my alarm. Was having trouble getting to the calculator, but Jason put up a temp one and i could access that one. So...

I'm all set and i'll get up first thing tomorrow and see what it is.
