~36000 gallon, in-ground, vinyl liner, 2 skimmers and 2 jets
I’d like to follow the ABC Method as promoted on this page…looks simple!
Please let me know what kit your recommend, and why…tftestkits.net is an archaic website and I’m not sure what exactly I need
Hello and welcome to the forum!
The TF-100 and TF-Pro both contain the same tests for pool water parameters: calcium hardness, total alkalinity, free and combined chlorine, pH, and cyanuric acid. The TF-Pro is our top-line kit for the following reasons:
1. The TF-Pro has a much nicer polyvinyl case with custom foam insert to perfectly hold all of your reagents and equipment with space for a few extra odds and ends. The TF-100 is packaged in a plastic tackle box.
2. The TF-Pro includes a Smart Stir or Taylor SpeedStir magnetic stirring device by default. While this is not strictly necessary, customers who use these devices find they are impossible to live without, and for this reason they are extremely popular. The TF-100 does not include either device but one can be added on to your order.
3. The TF-Pro contains higher-quality plastic hardware with embossed graduations.
4. The TF-Pro contains more cyanuric acid tests than the TF-100.
Since you are not experiencing any specific issues with your pool nor using a salt water chlorine generator, none of the add-ons to either kit would be necessary. However, the more time you spend on Trouble Free Pool, the more you will sense that the Smart Stir or Taylor SpeedStir are well worth the money. I would always recommend the TF-Pro but if the price point is too high, the TF-100 will allow you to adhere to all TFP methods and advice.
