Tap water ph 7.2. I attached a picture. I have a fresh tf100 kit. 5 drops of R-0014 is usedWhat is the expiration date on the pH reagent?
What is the reagent number for the pH? R-0004 or R-0014?
How many drops of reagent are you adding?

Will do, I can't believe it is taking that muchThat all checks nicely.
More acid, my friend!![]()
I added 4 tabs to the chlorinator 4 hours ago to help maintain the FC level after I shock. But I don't think they raise the FC level that much. I just added 32 fl oz of mauratic acidAny chance the FC is in-fact wayy higher than we think? That would cause the pH to falsely appear much greater (i.e., redder/purpler) than it really is.
11 drop turned it clear to slightly shade of pink then green, 12 turned it red. I stopped after the 12 drop. So far I have added 138 fl oz since the morning. There is no rish adding that much ma?Great - at least we know the reagent and testing procedure is correct.
When you did the TA test - did you continue to add drops until the color didn't change and then subtract the last drop that didn't change the color?
Or did you stop the TA test when the color turned pink?
Seems more acid is needed - maybe more than the 32oz you added 15 minutes ago.
Time - and testing - will tell.
Once dissolved this is the effect 4 tabs will have on your waterI added 4 tabs to the chlorinator 4 hours ago to help maintain the FC level after I shock
I am low on CYA, and high on PH, I just want them to foot FC once I start slam. They should maintain from 1-3 ppm chlorine. It takes around a week or 10 days to dissolve. I decided to put them as I didn't care about the CYAOnce dissolved this is the effect 4 tabs will have on your water

The problem is you can’t gauge how fast they will dissolve & do these things.
The end result will be that your cya is higher than you think & this will increase your necessary slam fc level
FC/CYA Levels
What is your current fc?
I called it 8 too, but added 32 oz anyway. I wanted to get done. Ph never stays low in my pool.My eyes would call that about 8, but certainly you can dose as if 7.8. Getting there!!
Some of the reagents will do that if allowed to sit still. Just ignore it. Once you get your initial result, discard the solution and move on. Good luck on the SLAM Process.Still not sure how to do CC correctly as it keeps turning pink after it clears.
