Hi, I joined here last August when we purchased a new house with a pool and integrated hottub. We are novices. We love the community here and how much true knowledge exists on these forums compared to our local pool store.
Our pool is in ground and about 16,000 gallons. It hade a Pentair gas heater amd SWG.
So far, we’ve been running it with the settings used by the prior owners. They paid around $400/mo for “maintemance”… we’ve just been having the pool store run their test for free and then plug in to the calculator here. So far, we haven’t needed to do anything to the water!
