Hello from an excited Newbie in Bixby Oklahoma!!

We had the same gunite company. I think they did a great job. Are you doing pebbletec?

They didn't mention to water the gunite to us. Hopefully it will be ok. We had a few days of rain since it was installed.

They did do a nice job. I have a couple areas of concern on the bottom of the pool. A couple of open craters, but they don't look super deep. I haven't mentioned them to the PB yet, but I will point them out when they plug up the big crevasse in the spa end.

My PB uses Gemstone/Finest Finish. We are (so far) going with Radiant Fusion Topaz

I specifically asked about watering. I had hoped to have gunite before we had gotten the rain but now I know they were at your house! :)

My husband and I went out running errands while the tile was being finished up. We came back to it completely finished, including grout. Was not expecting it to be grouted immediately. Also I assumed (silly me) that the grout would go with the tile. Never ever did I imagine it would be GREY. WIth a beige and brown tile. I don't like it.
Texted the PB and he said they use white with white pools and everything else gets grey. The girl in the office is supposed to get back with me about the cost to change the grout to white. She said they have never changed the grout before. I'll probably just have to live with it. :(

Aww Denise! I'm sorry you don't like it. I wonder if it will be less noticeable and blend better once the plaster is in and water. I don't think it looks bad though. I wouldn't have even noticed if you didn't mention it and I zoomed in. Hopefully your PB can do something to make it more like you want. They should really tell the grout color to double check. That would bother me not being consulted too.

With all of the different colors out there surely they have a tan/off white/cream colored grout! I don't think I would like the white at all. Gray would be better so as to not stand out as much as white BUT the grout SHOULD "match" the tile somewhat or at least be able to.

HUGS! I would push them about not talking to you about it BEFORE and cutting a deal on the regrout if needed.

We got to choose our grout color.

Well, I've slept on it and decided to just leave it. In the grand scheme of things, this is minor. Grey or white, I won't like either, so I'm just moving on.

On a brighter note- Twirleybyrd spa jets are a standard item with my PB :)

Have you looked at it today? I'm wondering if it was still wet in those pictures and has/will dry much lighter, more like the gunite. Looks great to me either way.

Thank you everyone for the encouragement! I looked at it this morning and, yep, it's still grey. Right now it looks ok because the gunite is grey but when everything is done there will be no grey except for the grout. I'm not upset anymore and have gotten over the shock.
This is what I thought it would look like. This is my kitchen backsplash
