Hello from an excited Newbie in Bixby Oklahoma!!

nini I have a sad :( for you and for the PB as I am SURE you will not be sending ANY business his way once he is FINALLY done with your pool.

You are doing all you can...........come here and vent and get  then text him your frustration about the lack of work.

I miss you, Kim, and all the friends I've made on here. Thanks for the hugs and encouragement. My daughter met someone who has a friend that used my PB to add a spa to an existing pool. I guess they were quoted 2 months for the work...took 9 months. We are hopeful ours won't take that long...

I love your positive attitude Denise, even when you're frustrated and venting you still come across as uplifting. I'm glad it looks like they're at least attempting to get things moving forward! Sending hugs & prayers!

Thanks, TM! I appreciate the prayers! How is your build going? I'll head over to your thread and get caught up.

We're at a stop until we close but it looks like that will be possibly next week! I was a little bummed when my PB called to ask if we were ready to schedule dig. I was sad to have to tell them not yet so they started a pool in Houston instead. We're on the home stretch for the mortgage side anyway. Haven't had much to update so I haven't posted in my build thread in awhile.

Just know it's going to be beautiful. And worth the wait. I can't wait to see it finished. All your changes sound amazing! Maybe the delays are good because you had time to make changes. In any case, I'd enjoy seeing pictures of your muddy mess. I love your tile, too! Praying it moves forward and you get to swim soon.

I understand, that's how we started as well, last October. Hopefully, you'll be able to get going soon!
It's just frustrating and disappointing anticipating stuff happening and it doesn't.

I hope you are right, Janny!! I'll be glad when all this stress is done. I am glad for the time to make the changes and work the OT to pay for the upgrades.
I'll get some pictures posted for you!

Our muddy mess. The dark stuff is what was churned up by the bobcat yesterday. It's still soupy under the patio area.

Here you can see the location of the gas pipe for the firepit and the blue painted circle where it is to be moved.

Here is the worst of the mud. The sun doesn't shine here. They finally removed the patio remnants and the stairs.

The plumbing is all labeled. Our equipment pad looks like it will be huge!

whenever the pool is finally ready, I'll be ready with patio furniture. Next week I hope to get umbrellas or deck boxes.

Janny, think MUD, lots and lots of mud but it is flat mud instead of mountains of mud.

That chaise looks comfy!

We got one of the white storage deck boxes this past weekend to keep the floats and net in. I have to buy a new brush and it will also be kept in that. It is comfy to sit on and the cats move around it to use it for shade LOL

yes, it is FLAT mud! No rain over night here, praise God! Hopefully, all will go as scheduled today and the next 2 days.

The chaises are comfy! I think I'm going to get pads for them though just to save wear on the wicker. Maybe. I need to get our other cushions out of storage, clean them, and see what I want to do about keeping them or getting new ones.

Did you get your white deck boxes at Sam's? I just saw those yesterday. They had the brown ones (I had previously posted those) a few weeks back but yesterday they had both brown and white. They are HUGE!! I don't think I could sit on them comfortably (think Lilly Tomlinson in the giant rocking chair). Costco has the Lifetime ones for the same price but a little smaller. I feel some relief now that I've gotten some chairs before they are gone. I didn't want to order them online.

Headed to work for an all day class. It's gonna bug me not knowing if anything is getting done until I come home this evening.

Have a great day!

Denise, so sorry things have slowed down to a crawl or stop! I remember how frustrating that is! I'm sending thoughts and prayers your way so things can get back on track. It'll be a distant memory when you are floating in your pool.

Finally, a positive report!!!

They just finished grading and spreading gravel. Although rain is forecast for tonight, they will be able to finish prepping for the deck tomorrow, inspection in the afternoon, and pour concrete on Friday!!! I'm a little in shock...

PB was just here and said we are really close to being done, even if it doesn't look like it. PB will meet the tile guy here to redo/fix the waterline tile at 7:30 AM and possibly do the glass tile as well.

Masonry won't be done until the scuppers come in.

We got the white one. I don't think they would be a good fit for you though for that very reason! LOL

ewwwww on the all day class :( I bet YOU could teach the class BUT we have to go to keep the paperwork up.

Kim:cat:

Those are NICE boxes! Does it keep the rain out? I think I'm going to get 2 of them. We probably need 3 if we use them for our patio cushions, too.

The class was to be able to perform SLED (Slow Low-Efficiency Dialysis) on patients. I've run SLED a couple of times but hadn't taken the class. You have to be educated, take a test and check off on stringing the machine. Then you are considered conpetent. Over the last couple of years, I signed up multiple times but never actually took the class for one reason or another. It's a bit stressful running SLED. These are usually the very sickest patients and used to be 1:1. Now you do it and still have a 2nd patient most of the time.
The class was easy OT. Bonus was a free catered BBQ lunch in honor of Nurse's Week. Since I work weekends, I not usually at the hospital for it. They just give us a fee meal voucher for the cafeteria.

I can't see them either! [emoji24]

Hmm, I can't think why... I'm using photobucket...
