I have been lurking here for a few months. We recently purchased a home that has an 18 foot round above ground pool with deck all around and a hot tub. This will be my first experience maintaining a pool. I'm guessing 5500 to 6000 gallons won't be sure until i get the cover off and measure the depth. I'm not sure what I'm doing with the hot tub yet, the old owners said "it does not work so good" so i may try to fill it and see what I'm dealing with.
I'm aiming to open the pool next month myself. This weekend is supposed to be nice so my plan is to inspect the hoses, filter (sand), pump and connections. I don't think there is really a solid base for the pump and filter so I may get some pavers and build my own base for them. I'm going to order the Taylor K-2006C. Just one question, once i get the pool balanced how much bleach should i expect to go through weekly?
