High gang,
FIRE UP here. We moved from the over crowded CALIFORNIA right at 4 years ago, to our brand new home in Lake Havasu City AZ. We love it!! Yep, it gets a bit warm here for sure. It's hovering around 98 at the time of this message, about 7:48 in the evening. Anyway, our home here is 4 years old and our pool is 3.5 years old. So, yep, we had one built shortly after moving in. It's a simple pool. About 32'-34' long (can't remember) and about 12' wide, at its widest point. It's a basic free-form semi-kidney shaped pool with what's known as a baja step. It's also got a sit-a-round bench with a table. At the other end is a wall step/seat. Many in our area build a shallow-semi deep-shallow design. Ours is a shallow - deeeeeep, period. Yep, we have a deep end in ours.
The perimeter is all Travertine tile. ZERO concrete present anywhere. We have a raised bond beam on the longer, straighter side. On top of that raised bond beam are two spill pots. The waterline tile is not your traditional glazed dark blue stuff. It's more of a satin finish desert sand type tile. The raised bond beam is decorated with what's called "stacked stone". We, the wife and I, did all the design, along with a tad bit of help from the builder. When the contract was signed, the pool builder was to do it all, pool, Travertine tile (miles of it) "Astro-turf" type stuff here and there, a few Pigmy palms, an umbrella in the baja step and the table, and, that's that. We love it. Oh, by the way, without any help, the water temp as we speak, is right at 90 degrees.
