My heater is giving me a code after about one minute of heating up. The code that appears on the display says Check IGN Steps and then shuts down. I changed out my pressure switch that came apart and removed the NO Flow code and now I have this one. Has anyone ever had this code?

I had this error code recently and it turned out to be a broken ignitor.
Per troubleshooting tips, it could be any of the following.
• Broken, split, pinched or disconnected air pressure switch.
• Fan not operating.
• Fan running slow or premature fan failure.
• Air flow restricted at intake or discharge.
• Broken igniter.
• Low gas supply pressure.
• No flame at burners.
I checked all of the hoses on the air pressure switch and they all looked good. The heater will get hot then shuts off with the code listed above. Will the heater still light if the ignitor is broken?
There is that possibility because of how it is made. I would pull the ignitor and inspect it. It is easy to do.
