Building pool in SE Arizona. Besides everything else haha trying to decide between a solar heater or electric. We are retired and want to be able to swim in mornings and evenings. Thanks for any information you can provide.
Solar is good for getting the pool warm earlier in the year and keeping it warm later in the year. A heatpump will add heat slowly and maintain the heat for you. But, there is a catch.....
You absolutely will need a solar cover on the pool to keep the heat in overnight or else all the heat you add during the day will go away overnight. This means you’ll want a pool design that facilitates ease of use with a cover.
