Heater and Intellicenter heat discrepancy

I don't know why your firemans switch control did not work but I would rewire it for RS-485 control.

You need to reconnect the firemans switch wires in the heater and use the same cable yellow/green wires between the Comm connector on the heater board and the Comm connector in the IntelliCenter. Then change your gas heater configuration to Connected Heater as discussed above.

Always power everything down before making wiring changes.

To confirm, you are saying to basically use different colored wires but put them in the same places on the IC board and the heater board? So basically swap the red and white wires for the green and yellow?

Nope. The yellow/green wires connect to different connectors.

Any chance you took pictures of your heater control board as well as the IC board when you did this that you could share?
You can connect on the intellicenter end to any of 5 headers, 2 on the mainboard 20230521_121225.jpg
3 on the swg surge card (j2/j3/j4).

Let me see if I have a photo of the MT side .

Depending on the orientation, you can get to the header on the underside of the display without taking off the top of the mt. The header comes off so you can screw the wires in then it slides back on. Make sure the breaker to the ic and the heater are OFF when you do this. 20220518_230944.jpg
