Just got my Hayward HP31405T Heat pump/Chiller. Can it be controlled by my OmniPL? I dont see anything from the heater or the PL showing how connection should be made

Is it the new micro channel heater/chiller line of heat pumps Hayward just released? If it is it might have the RS485 connector. If not the post above is the way to do it.

I wasn’t sure I haven’t seen any yet. I do know they fixed the round style heat/cool heat pumps to be fully automated with an RS485 connector. With firmware 4.8 and above you can select “Smart Heater” and pulls up an HUA for the heater. In the past there was only 1 relay for the heat/cool and it wouldn’t properly function when hooked up to automation.The press release...

My Hayward gas heater just went out and am thinking about replacing it with this HP31405T unit. How are you liking your so far? Did you get it to work with Omni?
