Hey lads,

We have a small above ground pool and recently had to replace the pump and filter, found this gem and couldn't pass it up for the price. However, once attaching everything up, there seems to be an issue with valve positioning. I've attached photos to help explain the situation. In a nut shell, there is a port labeled "waste"(with the sight glass) and "return" (what I have my return hose connected to). The issue is, if I choose the "filter" option on the tab and turn the pump on, it pumps out of the "waste" port. Whereas "rinse" and "backwash" pump out of the return port. I'm not too familiar with these filters and can't seem to find any model number inorder to find a manual. Is it possible that the key cover handle is on wrong? Could it be as easy to fix as moving the handle key cover position?

Best,
Jacoza

Hi, welcome to TFP! Did you buy the filter new or used? If it was used it is possible the spider gasket is bad. If you got it new we will need to see pictures that show the hoses from the pool to the pump and then to the filter and finally the return.

It is used, I went ahead and placed the old pump and filter back on for the time being until I can figure it out.
