Here are the latest stats:
Jan 18th-March 26th - 5 gallons @ 1/2 gallon per week
March 27th - April 12th - 2 gallons @ 3/4 gallon per week
April 13th - May 3rd - 5 gallons @ 1 1/2 gallons per week
May 3rd - June 3rd - 8 gallons @ 1.8 gallons per week
June 3rd - June 23 - 8 gallons @ 2.8 gallons per week
June 24 - July 15 - 13 gallons & 8oz of Trichlor @ 4.1 gallons per week
July 15 - Aug 3rd - 9 gallons & 16oz of Trichlor @ 3.15 gallons per week
August 4th - Aug 14th - 3 gallons @ 2.5 gallons per week
I think my chlorine usage has peaked and is on the way down. The one variable I have not factored in to my chlorine use is the position of the earth in relation to the sun. The impact of summer solstice (Jun 21) makes a lot of sense. My chlorine usage seemed to have peak during the late June time frame which is when the sun is most direct toward the northern hemisphere and the most daylight. Chlorine has decreased over the past 6 weeks as sunlight decreases and becomes more indirect.
So far I have spent 263.80 on Liquid Chlorine and still have around 9 gallons remaining in the dispenser. I thinking I'll end up around $310-$330 while maintaining YTD FC average of 2.9 and CYA of 26.
