Hello,

I have a customer with a hayward pro logic system with a T cell 3 on it. 2 days ago i got the notification that the salt level was very low and when i checked the system it read 600 ppm which is weird because we had no rain , fresh water wasn't added to the pool and the level last week was 3400 ppm. When i checked the salt level using salt strips the salt level is 3200ppm. I inspected the cell and even though it was clean i still gave to a slight cleaning but the system is still saying very low salt. The following is the the readings from the diagnostics menu....... +29.29V, +0.16A, 81F, 0300PPM. Can anyone assist and tell me if the cell has to be changed (which is weird because the cell has only be installed 2 and a half years.)

Here is the procedure for ProLogic, AquaLogic and AquaPlus:

Go to the diagnostic screen, note the readings and then press the + button to reverse the polarity.

When the new numbers appear, see what they are.

Then, press + again and note the new readings.

Report all readings.

What are the first seven characters of the cell and box serial numbers?

To get the performance percentage of the cell, divide the instant salinity reading by the actual salinity reading.

You need to be really sure about the actual salinity reading.

You need to use a K-1766 salt test kit or a calibrated meter.
