My pump is online but won't pump. My pro logic display complains of the VSP Drive Comm Error. My Tristar VSP 950 display complains of “Comm Error between display and drive”

Any suggestions how to clear this error? The Hayward Pro Logic trouble shooting guide has no guidance in this area.

Welcome to TFP.

Is your TriStar 950 connected to automation or do you control it through its control panel?

Open up the electrical compartment can check that you have no water in it and the wires are securely connected to the display control connector.

You can try powering off the pump and Pro Logic, at a breaker, for a few minutes (5 or so) and then reapply power. Sometimes clears those kinds of errors.

Hi , thanks to all for your responses.
I carefully reviewed some previous responses and found a solution.
My solution was to
1. cycle the power off, then bring up the Pro Logic controller and wait a few minutes for it to reach state
2. Cycle on the pump/filter circuit
3. Subsequently, I observed the pump became operational.

Notes:
1. waiting for the Hayward tech to respond to my case. It will be a few more days.
2. Very disappointed to find that Hayward has zero to troubleshoot this error condition, well at least online.
3. Hayward has at least hundreds of thousands of equipment installations. If there was an effective troubleshooting guide , this would reduce their trouble ticket queue.
4. Full credit to TFP for posting previous cases and responses!
