Hayward Pool Light

I have a Hayward LED Color Logic light. Unfortunately it is not compatible with the Hayward switch. It is currently connected to a standard light switch. The color change every time the switch is cycled. My question is about the switch. It seems like a standard wall switch but is it? Can I replace it with a WiFi switch (like iDevices) so I can connect to HomeKit?

What hayward switch are you talking about? Pool automation equipment/remote?

Hi PoolBill,

The ColorLogic can be cycled through the colors of the light by powering the light on and off relatively quickly, so as long as you can hook up the iDevices switch to turn power on and off to the light then you can cycle through the colors and color shows. However, you will not get any readout of the color shows on the iDevices switch.

I assume you are speaking of this newer Hayward ColorLogic Controller This is pretty much a light switch but it has the built in pre-sets for all your color shows so you don't have to flip the light switch repeatedly to get to your color.

The nice thing about the colorlogic is that it does have memory so once you get to the color show you like and then the light is turned off for more than 15 seconds then the next time the light is powered back on, it will start up in the color that was last used.
