I've seen a few threads about repairing the PCB on these older Hayward systems, but not specifically for the OnCommand. I've found a place that will repair my board for about $200, but I'm hoping that it's the same issue (failed capacitor) that I can do myself for about $10 and have almost no downtime.
I have attached a pic of the PCB and am hoping someone on here can let me know the following:
1.Is it the same capacitor as used on other Hayward boards of 'similar age\vintage'? I was able to snap more pictures and confirmed, the OnCommand board is a 5.5V 0.33F capacitor
2. Is there anything else I should look at or fix while I have the board out of the housing?
3. Will all my programming (valves, spa, etc.) still be there after replacing the capacitor?
Thank you all so very much.
