If you're comfortable working on a pc board and have a discharge wrist band to wear (to discharge static electricity without harming the board), check the connection of the sensor at the board.
Was the replacement part a Hayward brand? I am seeing some non name brand parts floating around for half the cost.
Pull out the one installed and check to see if it is corroded or not. If you have corrosion or stuff all over it, then mayb you should adjust your pool chemicals as well.
