Hayward Heater Issue

Moved from here

Having a problem with my Hayward H250 gas heater. Digital screen went blank, plastic cover blown off. Now no power. CB recycled and appears OK. I ordered a new face plate, attached the plug in - still nothing showing. Is this something I could easily check, or should I call a pool company?

It could be done by you. If you do not feel it's something you want to attempt, I can provide you a referral to a company in your area. Also double check to make sure there are no blown fuses on the power board. Once you replace it and get it all working, purchase a cover for the keypad to protect it. You can find them on eBay and Amazon I believe. The ones I use are metal so it's hard for wind to flip it up. Also saves the keypad from being destroyed from the sun.

Thank you for that advice. I will check the fuses - didn't realize there were any on the control board. Will post how it turns out. In my area we have Pinch-a-Penny as a pool supply close by.

I know a very reputable company that works on gas pool heaters. Much better than that pinch a whatever. LOL Besides that pinch a place will have to order parts and this guy usually stocks them.
